ICF is currently hiring for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to support our fast- growing technical programs with EPA’s Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI). This position offers the chance to apply your knowledge to support a wide range of technical projects working in a team setting with ICF’s environmental professionals who are passionate about advancing sustainable cleanup of contaminated sites nationwide.
This is the ideal role for a junior professional who is ready to jump start their career! This position can be fully REMOTE or you can join us in one of our many offices on a hybrid schedule!
What you’ll do:
Perform research, data collection, and quantitative data analysis in support of a broad range of technical projects for EPA to identify and evaluate technologies and approaches for improving contaminated site cleanup, including analyzing trends in technology use.
Provide support for site-specific technical assistance projects to help EPA identify solutions for site characterization and remediation issues.
Provide general support for the preparation of a wide range of client work products that will be used by OSRTI’s diverse customer base including EPA Regions, states/tribes, and environmental professionals worldwide.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or geosciences.
1+ years of experience.
Knowledge of EPA cleanup programs (e.g., Superfund, RCRA, Brownfields) a plus.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is desirable.
Strong analytical skills, including experience conducting quantitative analyses using Microsoft Access and Excel; experience with GIS software and data visualization tools a plus.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
