Environmental Scientist, Training and Delivery
ICF is looking for Environmental Scientists!
Are you an Environmental Scientist with a passion for training and teaching others? Do you want to leverage your technical skills to reach a broader audience and make environmental science more accessible? If so, then join our multidisciplinary Environmental & Regulatory Implementation Services (ERIS) team today!
As cthe successful candidate, you will support EPA contracts with the Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI), Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR), and Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery (ORCR). You will apply your academic and past work experience/knowledge to a wide range of training and technical projects collaborating closely with other team members and with both internal and external clients.
What you’ll do:
Provide a wide range of support for the development and delivery of classroom, virtual, and hybrid technical training courses.
Assist with course content development, including logistics, on-site training delivery support, course evaluation preparation and customer and client interaction.
Perform research, data collection, quantitative data analysis, and reporting in support of a broad range of technical projects for EPA.
Provide general support for the preparation of a wide range of client work products across our EPA contracts.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science or related technical field, including environmental science, geology, or hydrogeology.
1-3 years of experience supporting technically oriented projects in the environmental area, including conducting quantitative analyses.
Knowledge of EPA cleanup programs (e.g., Superfund, RCRA, Brownfields) a plus.
Professional skills and experience were looking for:
Highly organized team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Interest in developing skills to provide on-site support for training deliveries and willingness to travel.
Proficient in conducting quantitative analyses using Microsoft Access and Excel; experience with GIS software is desirable.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is desirable.
