Environmental Sciences Data Project Manager- REMOTE
To support ICF’s dynamic growth and expanding client base, we are seeking an Environmental Sciences Data Project Manager to work in our Health Science Portfolio. This group of 130+ science professionals provides toxicology, hazard assessment, epidemiology, risk assessment, exposure assessment, environmental modeling, and related support that addresses the full spectrum of potentially hazardous agents, including chemicals and microbes. We specialize in identifying and quantifying the effects of environmental pollutants, such as metals, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds, on human health and the environment.
The Environmental Sciences Data Project Manager’s project work would support federal agencies (such as U.S. EPA and NIEHS) in overseeing data management and database interoperability tasks to support systematic literature review.
This position is full-time and will be located on-site in either Reston, Virginia, Durham, North Carolina, or as a remote employee.
What you’ll do…
Provide management oversight and technical direction to multiple tasks involving:
quantitative chemical exposure data integration,
generation of visuals to support risk assessments, and
interoperability between data systems.
Assist in the definition of project scope, objectives, and technical methods, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Manage the day-to-day work associated with projects, including staffing, scheduling, communicating, and providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and communicate with clients regularly regarding project status, technical issues, deliverables, and follow-on work.
Identify and implement process improvements to ensure efficiency and quality.
Participate in supervising, mentoring, and developing junior- to mid-level staff.
What you’ll need:
Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related environmental science field.
3+ years of experience with project or task management
What we’d love:
Experience with government programs (preferably U.S. EPA or NIEHS)
Experience with chemical exposure assessment, risk assessment, and systematic review
Experience with python
Proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges; demonstrated ability to formulate and execute technical approaches to solving scientific questions

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$60,598.00 - $103,017.00
