ICF is seeking a Project Manager with a biology emphasis to join our rapidly-growing Texas-based practice. The successful candidate would leverage their regulatory expertise and management experience to lead diverse projects for clients in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. The candidate would be given immediate opportunities to build client relationships while working with and learning from highly-talented biologists and project management peers. The team's local office is in Austin, TX, and due to the location of field work, local candidates are preferred.
What You Will Do
Managing projects that involve a wide range of technical field studies, analyses, and regulatory and permitting tasks.
Preparing proposals and supporting marketing efforts in target sector.
Providing senior-level expertise and technical guidance on complex projects involving Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, federal and state laws, and agency consultations.
Providing leadership to wildlife biologists and wetland scientists and helping to mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level staff
Leading and performing field work, including plant and wildlife habitat assessments/surveys, wetland delineations and functional assessments, preparing technical reports, USACE 404/10 permit applications, and mitigation plans.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a similar field
7+ years of experience in environmental consulting or applicable fields (government, consulting, academia)
Preferred Attributes and Experience:
Experience managing or conducting studies for renewable energy, water, and/or infrastructure clients, overseeing technical studies and providing regulatory guidance.
Experience working with resource agencies and developing complex environmental and regulatory strategies.
Strong knowledge of environmental consulting practices and environmental laws
Experience working with clients and common project management tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train teams of technical specialists.
Ability to present solutions to complex problems to clients and regulators.
Business-minded with an eye towards client engagement and market growth.
Technical writing skills and ability to review, QA/QC, and provide feedback to technical staff.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$85,153.00 - $144,760.00
