We are looking for an Enterprise Architect who is customer focused and passionate about helping large government agencies modernize and transform through pragmatic enterprise strategies. The projects and services support the CDC meet the objectives of the agency's Data Modernization Initiative (DMI). You will be working on multiple projects at a time, interacting with all levels of ICF staff and stakeholders. You will also use expertise in business management practices and industry requirements to provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning IT solutions to complex information processing problems related to the subject matter field. You will also perform analysis and studies, prepares reports, and gives presentations. You will assist in developing strategies and plans for the successful completion of large complex projects. Candidates must be experienced with applied engineering methodologies and principles to conduct major enterprise-wide business process evaluation and modernization projects. Our team members will develop plans, manage, and provide technical oversight for the entire systems development lifecycle, including but not limited to corporate strategic planning; analysis, and design; software development; cost and schedule estimation; use of accepted software engineering practices; design techniques and tools; and review of legacy systems. You will also coordinate regularly with the Program Manager to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will move smoothly between tactical and strategic conversations with technical, business, and mission leadership. You will be critical in helping our team formalize, standardize, and mature our cloud services offerings. You understand the importance of security and believe risk management should be tackled early and not as an afterthought. You have been in the trenches helping teams obtain authority to operate (ATO) and can have intelligent discussions around NIST recommendations and security controls. You are passionate about automation and creating an environment that fosters DevSecOps approaches. You articulate the connection from technical services to business capabilities and help client organizations navigate the tension between evolving traditional IT processes and modern techniques. You also understand that success is not about being a hero; it’s about developing a capable team to deliver the right solutions to our customers.
Responsible for working with senior customer leadership in the development of overall data vision, roadmap, and implementation strategy
Works with the customer to solve business problems leveraging available technology, including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
Presents alternative solutions to customers in solving a business problem or enabling customer value.
Engaging customers in discovery calls to understand their business and technical needs.
Collaborating with project teams to engineer appropriate and viable solutions.
Assist in the preparation and/or review of quotes, proposals, and statements of work.
Creating application and network stack Visio diagrams to illustrate the proposed solution architecture effectively.
Identification and Documentation of as-is and to-be architectures
Creation of technology Roadmaps
Support the development of new standards stated directions and guideline
As a customer-facing position, duties will include but are not limited to managing stakeholder expectations that will require excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Presentation of engineered solutions with a focus on articulating how each aspect of the solution directly relates to solving the client’s technical or business needs
Thorough documentation of all engineered solutions, including application to customer technical requirements and customer expectations, to help ensure successful implementation
Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of relevant web application stacks, security, cloud computing, industry direction, and trends.
Serves as a top-level technical or functional expert supporting one or more clients and unlimited user groups
Performs highly specialized technical tasks associated with cutting-edge technologies
Assess and provide recommendations on new technologies and techniques
Applies expert functional knowledge and experience to significant business projects or processes.
Able to operate across multiple projects to enable synergies and cost savings from an application, infrastructure, data, and security perspective.
Management of Centers of Practice
Required Skills Include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive technology leadership roles and participation in major COTS/cloud/custom integration projects.
2+ years of experience in data center infrastructure and cloud IaaS environments.
2+ years of experience in enterprise-scope architectural engagements, technical leadership at the program level, and a successful track record of delivery.
US Citizenship or Green Card required due to federal contract requirements
Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply
Desired Certifications: PMP, CSM, ServiceNow, AWS/Azure Professional, TOGAF, or AWS Certification.
2+ years of experience in one or more cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) advance concepts such as Serverless, Infrastructure as Code, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Git repositories (such as Gitlab).
2+ years of experience with tools such as Appian (Low code/no code), Drupal (portal), Databricks (ETL, etc.), PowerBi, and Dynamics.
2+ years of experience using and integrating PaaS and SaaS technologies such as ServiceNow, Mulesoft, Tableau, Oracle Identity Management, and Salesforce.
Working knowledge of one or more enterprise architecture modeling tools (Sparx EA, Mega, Visual Paradigm, etc.).
1+ years of Experience with major cloud, service-oriented, platform-based application technologies with design and system development accomplishments.
2+ years of experience delivering architecture using industry methodologies such as FEAF, etc.
1+ years of experience with Big Data, Analytics, and Data Governance.
2+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture and microservices.
2+ years of experience with container strategies.
2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps.
2+ years of experience with IAM, Zero Trust, and end-to-end data security.
2+ years of experience with workflow automation and orchestration.
2+ years of experience with Data Catalog implementations.
2+ years of experience with Data Mesh and Service Mesh implementations.
2+ years of experience with High-Performance Computing.
2+ years of experience with database design for both structured and unstructured data.
2+ years of experience with cloud-agnostic application modernizations.
Preferred Skills include:
In-depth knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in an Enterprise environment.
Attention to detail, adaptive learner, positive attitude, multi-task, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
A demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies as needed as well as a willingness to do collaborative software development as necessary
Able to work closely with all project stakeholders, such as business users, project managers, and business analysts, while delivering solutions.
Enterprise Architecture certification (TOGAF, FEAF, Dodaf, Zachman, etc.)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is -
$73,324.00 - $124,651.00
