Job Description: Ready to make a difference? To support our growth, we are currently seeking a Program Manager for our Utility Programs and Services Division to lead and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs in Mississippi. You will manage an established Commercial/Industrial (C&I) energy efficiency portfolio of programs, including individuals who contribute to this portfolio’s success. This would require you to provide technical guidance for energy-efficient products, savings calculations, and best practices, as well as build relationships and trust with clients, work collaboratively with the overall implementation team, as well as internal IT and marketing teams to implement multiple programs within established goals and budgets. 

In this role, you will focus on utility sponsored energy efficiency projects focused on Commercial and Industrial markets. You should have the unique combination of interpersonal and analytical skills that will make you a critical member of our team from the day you arrive. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in energy or resource efficiency, as well as a broad understanding of utility markets.

What you will be doing:

  • Working in support of various utility sponsored programs that encourage energy-efficiency and renewable energy in commercial & industrial, schools, government, and agricultural markets. 
  • Recruiting program participants (customers and trade allies), account management, developing and implementing sales strategies, preparing, and delivering persuasive presentations, relationship building activities. 
  • Provide high level energy audits and direction on adopting various energy efficiency measures that can be implemented to various sectors including universities, schools, retail, office, industrial, government buildings, etc. 
  • Conduct presentations on program details to various trade allies, customers and utility staff via webinar or live audience. 
  • Review projects to determine technical eligibility of equipment being installed and perform onsite inspections to confirm existing equipment or installation of new efficient measures. 
  • Program implementation and management of a diverse team, quality control, and adherence to best practices to ensure successful program goal targets are met. 
  • Technical guidance and knowledge of M&V protocols on common mechanical and electrical equipment in commercial buildings, including energy savings potential with a significant focus on HVAC, Building Automation systems and Lighting technologies.  
  • Ensure evaluation benchmarks are being met and work with the utility evaluator to implement standard requirements for baseline selections and trend data. 
  • Day to day management of technical team, including guidance and judgement on electrical energy savings calculations, performance feedback and career development. 
  • Provide insight and recommendations for program changes based on existing market knowledge and program trends.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree and related experience. 
  • 4+ years of experience managing successful energy efficiency programs, with specific expertise in commercial, industrial, agricultural and government energy issues. 
  • 4+ years of experience with various customer facilities and energy systems and with energy efficient and renewable technologies. 

What we would like you to have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with using Technical Resource Manuals (TRMs) and supervising the development of tools that utilize deemed savings methodologies. 
  • 2+ years of experience with energy code standards for existing building and new construction 
  • Professional Engineer and/or Certified Energy Manager 
  • Program implementation and management of a diverse team, quality control, and adherence to best practices to ensure successful program goal targets are met. 
  • Day to day management of outreach/sales team and field service inspectors, including outreach goal setting, performance feedback and career development.  
  • Provide insight and recommendations for program changes based on existing market knowledge and program trends.   
  • Ability to form and develop strategic relationships with industry stakeholders. 
  • Superior people skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude. 
  • Strong persuasion, business writing and presentation skills.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is

$74,204.00 - $126,146.00
