Director, Technology Solutions | Remote Position Within The US

Reporting to the Partner Technology Solutions, the Technical Director is responsible for mentoring a team of software developers, dictating process, and establishing guidelines to ensure quality execution on all projects. The Technical Director also plays an integral role in executing ICF’s tech strategy, working with ICF’s internal technology group to create competitive, solutions that fit with the ICF culture of innovation.

Communication Skills:

  • Proven ability to translate client goals into achievable technical specifications
  • Experience visualizing enterprise architectures through conceptual and architectural schematics
  • Proven ability to engage internal and external audiences through charismatic presentation
  • Ability to work within various internal groups to drive technology change

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with the ICF technology, project management and account teams and be responsible for driving innovative mobile technology offerings for new and existing clients
  • Articulate innovative, business smart solutions and options to ICF clients in the mobile space
  • Work with ICF’s internal team to define and architect these technology solutions
  • Document and review solutions with team members, and oversee end-to-end implementation of solutions to ensure quality and adherence to designs
  • Develop and implement technology solutions with appropriate software design methodology to enable multiple team members to work in parallel, or to enable handoff of project deliverables
  • Conduct code reviews, code merging and participation in deployments to ensure flawless execution on projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of software developers
  • Conduct regular status meetings, and participate in formal employee reviews with team members
  • Partner with project management to resource projects. Procure resources from within the organization or external contractors as necessary
  • Help to develop a talent pool for future ICF opportunities

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Java, J2EE, C#, .NET or equivalent
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP
  • Digital media delivery (video, audio, images)
  • Mobile, Tablet and Web implementation experience
  • Mobile technologies (iOS, Android, etc.)
  • CMS (Sitecore, Adobe CQ5, Vignette, or other)
  • At least one object-oriented language, one procedural and Ruby/Python or similar
  • One SQL database technology (MySQL, Microsoft SQL server, Oracle)
  • ORM (hibernate, n-hibernate)
  • Task/bug tracking software
  • Continuous integration (Bamboo, Jenkins, other)

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience, including a thorough understanding of applications architecture
  • 2+ years agency technology experience or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, management information systems, mathematics or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Proven ability to define conceptual technology solution and articulate the value of technology to drive creative marketing platforms and present technology solutions to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Proven ability to methodically estimate technology execution scope of work in terms of budget and resources
  • Proven ability to leverage existing technology tools plus additionally research and apply new and experimental technologies to achieve business goals
  • Proven experience with enterprise focus on security, availability, flexibility, scalability, infrastructure configuration and change management
  • Experience in managing, leading, and mentoring a team of developers

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is -

$142,888.00-$242,909.00
