We’re currently hiring for a Director for Strategic Communications and Marketing.

We’re searching for our next strategic communications and marketing director who can take charge and spearhead our communications efforts with our federal clients, including energy, environment, and climate change.
You’ll make a real impact working with directly with our clients to address and solve key their key issues, drive change, and grow our business. As our next director, you’ll lead a client team and work with our federal clients to plan, develop, and implement innovative strategies and programs to help them achieve their mission.
You are passionate and knowledgeable about pressing environmental issues, engaging with key partners, and honing messages that are spot on. If you have prior experience working with federal, state, and local programs and/or energy clients, we'd love to talk to you. Position can be remote. Some travel to D.C. metro area may be required when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
As a Director for Strategic Communications and Marketing, you will:
Establishing and maintaining a mission and vision for environmental communications efforts, developing new business opportunities, and leading new business proposal efforts.
Collaborating with Federal agency partners and stakeholders to effectively launch and maintain project operations.
Developing strategic marketing and communications plans, marketing campaign development, and implementing new initiatives.
Overseeing creative development for a suite of client program areas including content development, campaigns, web design, social media, and graphic design.
Overseeing project quality including staff performance, reports, deliverables, project costs, and contract financial performance.
Managing and coaching members of the account team.
Monitoring staff utilization and conducting annual performance reviews.
As a Director for Strategic Communications and Marketing, you will have:
Demonstrated communications/marketing experience working within the energy and/or environmental sectors. A focus on energy efficiency and climate change is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
12+ years developing and overseeing multi-faceted communications/marketing initiatives.
12+ years of experience managing multi-million-dollar government communications/marketing projects.
Proven success in building and sustaining partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
Excellent client and customer-facing skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Problem-solver who is highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines at once.
Preferably has experience working with or for government clients, or experience working in a PR agency or similar communication setting.
Pushes the communications, marketing and digital world forward, using technology and creativity.
Demonstrates the ability to orchestrate the conversations that lead to innovation and meaningful impact.
Job Location(s): Within the current landscape, this role will be supported remotely. This role will ultimately sit at the Department of Energy or remote when remote working guidelines are lifted.
