Director - Program Delivery
Reporting to the Senior Partner, Technology and Delivery Lead- India, the Director, Program Delivery is a member of the India leadership team and is part of a collaborative team which sells and creates innovative solutions for our current and prospective clients within India as well as North America. This role, as an extension of the global delivery capability, will play a critical role in driving and achieving global delivery capability goals as well as in driving the delivery strategy, program/ portfolio/ project management, client & stakeholder management of all deliverables for the India based team. Delivered solutions will encompass a broad range of technologies and platforms within the “Marketing Technology” landscape. This person via multiple direct reports, will be responsible for leading and mentoring other intermediate and junior delivery team members.

Partners with global delivery lead and Account owners to assist/ participate in achieving global delivery goals.
Accountable for building a sustainable agile culture in line with global strategy.
Assist/ Lead/ Participate in all India site leadership activities.
Accountable to establish and sustain robust program delivery for all accounts delivered by the India team within prescribed revenue requirements.
Assists the capability leads to document and participate in performance feedback for all project resources.
Drives adoption of best practices across all projects.
Accountable for aligning, executing and driving adoption of best-in-class project management and delivery practices including SAFe principles.
Your key responsibilities:
Assist in defining and implementing a robust, scalable project management practice. This will include partnering with stakeholders in reviewing, creating and continuously enhancing project artefacts and templates.
Define and build PMO function in collaboration with LACE (Lean Agile Center of Excellence) to ensure strong support to the global delivery function.
Continuously evaluate evolving methodologies to adopt and enhance delivery practices.
Ensure via robust checks and balances that project managers manage the day-to-day activities for all ongoing projects including but not limited to-
Creation of the project plan, task entries on the tracking tool
Task allocation to team members; tracking their activities on the projects assigned.
Creation/review of all project related documentation
Interaction with client stakeholders in the status calls; lead and coach the team members in status reporting on calls
Work with other team members and stakeholders to establish tracking and reporting on project delivery standards and metrics.
Ensure optimal utilization of project management resources.
Ensure and enable assigned Project managers to act as the single point of contact for the client for any assigned project/s or programs; be the gatekeeper for project scope, estimates and budget.
Own and manage the project risks and issues; identify the project risks proactively and work towards mitigating them effectively; ensure timely escalation of issues to avoid adverse impact on project health.
Work with the client / stakeholders to finalize the requirements and obtain sign off; closely track the project scope; negotiate with client for creation of CRs for any requests that are outside of the defined scope; estimate the effort and derive the costs for both the project scope and CRs.
Follow up with the client stakeholders for revenue recognition; work with the project controller to provide accurate status on the invoices submitted.
Support management as required for new business development by contributing to proposals/RFP responses; create reusable artifacts.
Implement the organization mandated processes and tools for project execution; coach/mentor the team members in the same.
Support other projects as required, either by taking up direct responsibility or assigning team members with bandwidth to take up additional tasks.
Your Experience & traits:
Portfolio level prioritization, planning, and scheduling experience.
Experience in establishing tracking and improving on project delivery standards and metrics.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in program and project management
Organisation-wide transformation or improvement program/project planning – including scheduling and dependency mapping.
People management and people development, particularly for the delivery team.
Change management planning and communications.
Producing and managing production of project/program documentation and status reporting
Executive and steering committee reporting
Coordination of cross organisation/work stream activities
Experience with developing statements of work, vendor selection and RFQ / RFP processes
Experience with successfully managing stakeholders at all levels including senior executive level.
Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels, verbally and in writing.
Ability to lead and engender cooperation and collaboration at all levels.
Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively.
Experience in setting up or running a Project Management Office or similar structure.
Exposure to SAFe Agile methodology and related organizational transformation initiatives.
