Location: this position can be done from our Minneapolis, MN, Richmond, VA or Los Angeles, CA office.
ICF Next currently has an opportunity for a Director of Analytics with a focus on Marketing, Communications and Digital Analytics. This role will report to the Head of Data Science + Analytics. ICF Next is in the middle of aggressive strategic growth and this role is critical to expanding our analytical capabilities across clients. Specifically, this role’s core responsibilities will be to partner directly with account leaders to bring analytical capabilities to our clients. This will include embedding analytics in paid media, PR, creative and digital strategy.
An ideal candidate will have a background driving value through analytical insight and in leading a team of analysts. Experience in analytics related to paid media (advertising), web, digital experience, PR and/or creative is preferred.
Successful candidates will also have experience in strategic business planning and in influencing the organization to achieve results in a disciplined manner. They will be a motivated professional who is passionate about driving thought leadership, but also willing to roll up their sleeves to conduct and manage analytic projects.
Lead and develop a team of high performing marketing, communications and digital analysts.
Develop KPIs and measurement plans that help clients optimize their PR, communications, paid media and website initiatives.
Partner with the paid media team to use analytics to optimize spend across all channels on behalf of clients.
Partner with UX and technology teams to measure and optimize website traffic and performance.
Partner with PR and social media practice areas to build PR and social media measurement plans.
Develop and enhance firm offerings, including consumer audience segmentation, marketing channel(s) optimization, marketing mix modeling, and influencer identification.
Serve as an evangelist for analytics, educating account teams and clients on data literacy and the importance of analytics.
Partner with leadership across the company to embed analytics in agency capabilities, including audience research, brand, messaging, paid media, communications, PR, social media, UX, technology, loyalty and consulting.
Lead the development of modeling and forecasting tools to benefit marketing and communications clients.
Experience and Skills
12+ years of experience in analytics related to paid media (advertising, web, digital and/or PR, while demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibility and scope
Expert coder and user of analytics tools in order to analyze and interpret data i.e. SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, SageMaker, etc.
Expert user of analytics data visualization tools, especially Tableau
Experience with Marketing analytics and Digital analytics
Experience with MarTech and CommTech tools and data sets
Experience with DMP solutions a plus.
Experience with Adobe, Omniture, Google Analytics a plus.
Expert in analytic storytelling and presentation, including PowerPoint and other presentation tools
Demonstrated project management and organization skills
Talent development, including developing high-potential talent
Managerial expertise leading analysts in reporting, insights and analytics and nurturing future leaders in this space
Impeccable attention to detail, while being comfortable with data ambiguity
Proven track record of driving Analytics into actionable business outcomes
Demonstrated ability to influence change across a complex organization
Demonstrated understanding of statistical analyses methodologies
Agency experience is a plus
