Digital Marketing Manager – Europe and Asia

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager who is passionate about implementing digital & lead generation tactics & strategies to drive new business. This role is suited to someone with at least 5 years’ experience, ideally with experience in digital & lead generation, but with a wider marketing background.

The Role

The position requires a candidate who understands both traditional and digital marketing activities, and who can blend a creative approach to design and content, with strong analytical abilities and experience of using data to inform, plan and target campaigns effectively.

The Digital Marketing Manager will report to and collaborate with the Head of Marketing & Communications E&A and will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and campaign plans to raise brand profile and drive quality lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention across the full portfolio of E&A services. The role will sit within the ICF Marketing team in E&A but will require collaboration and networking with (i) Sector leads in E&A (ii) ICF & ICF Next marketing teams (iii) the corporate marketing team in Fairfax, as well as managing external suppliers & agencies as required. 

Main Responsibilities:

Demand Generation:

  • Develop and implement demand gen campaign plans through the implementation of a multi-channel approach, for example (email, social media, digital advertising, SEO, etc)
  • Develop lead generation campaign/program strategy, objectives, goals, metrics, and define best practices, standards, and processes to drive successful customer acquisition and current customer cross sell opportunities by collaborating with the wider E&A team and Marketing Managers.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team on campaigns by using a variety of marketing channels carefully selected to suit target personas, to strategically take the audience through their buying journey and to control persona-oriented content to drip feed the right information at the right stage of the journey.
  • Create impactful nurture programs to improve conversion rates from leads to opportunities
  • Monitor and report campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPIs, including but not limited to impressions, click through rates, web visitors, cost per acquisition, downloads, etc


  • Responsible for managing all SEO activities for E&A such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings and drive continuous organic traffic
  • Work with the Marketing Managers to research and implement content recommendations to inform campaign strategies and content for organic SEO success aligned with key business objectives and strategic growth priorities
  • Perform ongoing keyword research, including discovery & expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Collect data and report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspects

Digital Advertising

  • Develop the digital advertising strategies inline with the marketing objectives and budget
  • Develop, implement, and manage PPC campaigns
  • Develop, implement, and manage social media paid campaigns


  • Ownership of all E&A website content. Including optimising pages, building pages, and measuring performance.
  • Experience with CMS – preferably Sitecore
  • Build relationships and work closely with the Corporate Marketing team in Fairfax, Virginia.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing & wider marketing team to provide monthly reports on performance against KPIs and measurements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in b2b marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and implementing marketing campaigns and thought leadership content that engages, educates and motivates.
  • Strong understanding of and experience in running lead generation using modern marketing tools and approaches.
  • Experience and knowledge of the main social media channels – LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook.
  • Knowledge and experience of Google Analytics, and SEO platforms.
  • Proven experience in measurement and demonstrating ROI to the business.
  • Experience in digital advertising (Google Adwords, paid social channels, etc)
  • Experience of using marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or similar platform for campaigns.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Experience of using a social media engagement platform such as Octopost.
  • Experience of working and managing multiple teams/stakeholders.
