We are looking for a technically astute individual to join our growing Technology team based in Brussels, Belgium as a Digital Event Specialist. This hands-on client facing role will suit someone from either a comms agency, software or event production, or account management background looking to develop skills in digital project management.
You will work with dedicated in-house event planners, client stakeholders, third party platform partners, digital designers and copywriters to devise, configure, test and deliver various event technology solutions. From event related CRM and email marketing comms, to in person live event registration websites, event apps and lead capture solutions, to fully custom online virtual or hybrid event experiences.
You will be a people person and team player, with excellent communication, organisation skills and razor-sharp attention to detail. With the drive to deliver exceptional customer service and best-in-class digital experiences.
What you’ll do:
Represent the Digital team as a technology specialist and trusted advisor for physical, virtual and hybrid event-related digital solutions to both colleagues and clients alike.
Support with the development and delivery of RFIs and RFPs, including attending creative workshops, ideating solutions with internal teams, producing presentation content and presenting ideas and concepts to clients.
Conduct third-party product research and support with the onboarding and maintenance of preferred solution providers
Work with internal and client stakeholders to fully clarify the specific technology requirements for each event, advising on best approach, recommended platforms, features and functions, and liaising with third party partners to accurately scope and cost.
Project management end-to-end delivery of solutions based on agreed scope, including liaising with client stakeholders, event planners, copywriters, digital designers and third-party suppliers alike. Ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed, and the delivered solution meets the requirements of the brief, is delivered on time, on budget and to a high-quality standard.
Create custom event-specific websites and apps using the CMS functionality associated with our partner platforms to deliver fully unique branded digital solutions that showcase the best of what each platform has to offer.
Building strong working relationships with all our event technology third party partners, including fully understanding the capabilities of each platform and service offering, and keeping abreast of new developments.
Provide hands-on technical support with application testing, device configuration, onsite set-up and delivery to ensure software works as intended. This includes providing technical support to event attendees both in-person or remotely as needed.
Work closely with team colleagues to support and inspire, whilst helping to improve our ways of working and quality of output. Continually striving to maximise efficiencies, minimise errors and raise overall standards.
Proactively engage in research and personal development both in– and outside of work. Keeping abreast of new digital trends, technologies and best practice, and communicating new learnings and ideas to colleagues in order to best support the continual enhancement of the team’s products and services.
Who you are:
3+ years’ experience working in an account, project or production management role, either in a technology, events or creative services team
Demonstratable experience of managing projects efficiently and effectively from brief to final delivery inc. liaising with various stakeholders at all levels
Logical thinker, with a passion for problem solving and razor-sharp attention to detail
Commercially astute with demonstratable experience working with team colleagues and third-party suppliers to accurately scope and estimate projects
Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects at once, each with different priorities and dependencies. Adept at making smart, decisive decisions whilst adapting to change in a fast-paced creative environment
Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate at all levels with team colleagues, third parties and clients
Technically astute and computer literate, with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint essential
Strong understanding of data protection regulations and GDPR
Nice to Haves:
Degree or similar qualification in marketing, business or project management preferred
Good all-round understanding of digital technology related to events including end-to-end processes, best practice, platforms, features and tools
Hands on experience using web-based platform solutions to create custom digital experiences such as surveys, websites, virtual events or event apps. Experience using Cvent and Webex preferred, but not essential
Demonstratable ability to plan and deliver quality control testing, from ensuring the work meets the requirements of the brief and scope, to proof reading and user testing, to device and browser testing
A positive and professional team player, with drive and determination to support colleagues and clients, deliver good work and continually improve the team’s offering, efficiencies and sales
A highly committed team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, is highly conscientious in all aspects of work and who is willing to work onsite at events and unsociable hours when needed in order to meet deadlines
