Who you work with
You are part of our talented Design team, reporting to and working closely with the Design Director. You will work in collaboration with a variety of creative and client services team to produce the highest quality work.
What you do
Key to this role is devising, collaborating and delivering innovative, conceptual design solutions to a highly professional standard. You will apply your complete brand and technical awareness, creativity and expertise to every job, whilst ensuring all work is completed to ICF Next quality standards, accurately, efficiently and on time. The main responsibilities include:
Working across a wide range of client brands and internal marketing campaigns, taking full ownership of projects and applying your creative and design expertise. From initial concept through to providing print-ready/screen-ready artwork.
Collaborating with colleagues, marketing and clients to fully understand up front the requirements of the brief, the client’s and our own brand guidelines and technical specifications.
Conducting research, pushing brand guidelines and challenging the brief where necessary in order to produce ideas and designs that will better engage audiences, delivering the message and meet/exceed the expectations of the brief.
Working closely with the Design Director to inspire and support team members to push our existing levels even higher, whilst proactively encouraging consistent quality standards across the team.
Estimating time required to deliver work against agreed specs and adhere to these timings during delivery.
Escalating should any amends require additional time or changes to specs so revised quotes can be provided up front.
Working with team colleagues, project managers and the team producers to ensure your productivity is always maximized and your work is delivered to agreed project milestones.
Ensuring quality control procedures are followed at all times, including always rationalising your ideas back against the brief, checking work against agreed specs before sending out, checking artwork is fit for purpose and spell checking.
Working with team colleagues to maintain ICF Next various asset libraries including master fonts, brand assets and case studies whilst also ensuring project files and folders are named/saved correctly and version control is maintained.
Attending and proactively engaging in meetings including team updates, client briefings, internal briefings, workshops, creative ideas sessions, headspace and project debriefs.
Who you are
Experience & Knowledge
You have 3-4 years’ experience in a creative agency or in-house role with a strong portfolio of work and an expert understanding of the design industry, experiential design, have a photographic art direction eye, production methods and software expertise. You will be Mac literate, with a strong understanding of Adobe InDesign Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and with a good understanding of MS Word and PowerPoint being preferable.
As an innovative creative thinker and keen problem solver, you have a meticulous attention to detail and aren’t afraid to put your ideas forward and challenge the norm to achieve the client’s ambitions. You are a highly empathetic team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, is tolerant, supportive and can build strong productive relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
You are highly organised and can prioritise key tasks, act decisively and adapt in a challenging, fast-paced creative environment, whilst maintaining a cool, positive, professional head when under pressure. As an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you have the confidence to rationalise and present your ideas to colleagues and clients alike.
A strong desire to lead from the front when tasked with the ownership on projects. Mindfully brining yours and others relevant expertise together to deliver creative excellence.
A team player with bags of ideas and energy, you have a proven ability to deliver highly engaging results on brief and to agreed timescales. You are self-motivated and highly conscientious, with initiative, drive and a willingness to work out of hours when necessary, including occasional weekends, in order to meet a client’s deadline. You have a keen interest in social and cultural trends with ambition and determination to actively develop and learn to bring new ideas, innovations, and skills to the team.
