Cyber Outreach and Event Manager

ICF seeks a Cyber SME to support an Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group. The Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) facilitates information sharing in effort to reduce the risk to the nation’s industrial control systems. The ICSJWG provides a vehicle for communicating and partnering across all Critical Infrastructure Sectors between federal agencies and departments, as well as private asset owners/operators of industrial control systems. The goal of the ICSJWG is to continue and enhance the collaborative efforts of the industrial control systems stakeholder community in securing CI by accelerating the design, development, and deployment of secure industrial control systems.

This role will be performed REMOTE until returning to onsite in Arlington, VA.

What you will do:

  • Apply cybersecurity knowledge and expertise to activities related to working groups, conferences and virtual events as part of the outreach and event team.

  • Advise the communications team on prospective participants from industry and other infrastructure partners

  • Work with other cybersecurity experts within the organization to help develop content, determine focus for the planning, development, and implementation of meetings and conferences.   

  • Advise on technical requirements and information for materials development, web content, webinars, newsletters, and informational products for the working group.

  • Provide input and recommendations for marketing plans and outreach activities, as created by the utility marketing team.

  • Work closely with communications, customer engagement and other cybersecurity SMEs to coordinate and manage marketing and dissemination efforts through conference exhibit booths and websites.

What you will need:

  • BS/BA degree and 3+ years of experience (or 2+ with an MS/MA degree) in large cybersecurity, IT, or acquisition programs

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity

  • Strong understanding of committee models, structures, rules, etc.

  • Experience writing white papers, strategic planning documents, guidance documents or other project documentation related to cybersecurity.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts, policies, and procedures for targeted communications for a broad audience.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends and impact of events at the national and international levels.

  • High-level proficiency with Excel (worksheets, formulas, analytics) and PowerPoint is required.

  • U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position).  Security clearance required.

Desired but not required:

  • Experience working with government clients

  • Experience working with organizations in the private sector, international, state and local. tribal governments or NGOs.
