Cyber Outreach and Event Manager

We’re currently hiring a Cyber Outreach and Event Manager to work on client site in Arlington, VA.
As a Cyber Outreach and Event Manager, you will work to support a cybersecurity focused organization on the planning, development, and implementation of virtual and in-person meetings and conferences. You will provide cyber policy subject matter expertise for an industrial controls cybersecurity working group.
Manage and lead events team responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of virtual and in-person meetings and conferences.
Oversees all materials development, web content, webinars, newsletters, and informational products for the working group.
Develop work plans and track milestones and timelines for multiple meetings and conferences simultaneously.
Coordinate logistics for webinars, including setting up the webinar platform, and arranging transcription and a summary of the meeting as assigned.
Oversee and facilitate all aspects of meeting planning: ordering supplies, printing/packing/shipping of materials, registration, and marketing outreach.
Work with graphic designer on creating and editing conference programs, signage, and other promotional or event materials.
Provide support for virtual conference including coordination of pre-conference needs, all day of needs, and follow up needs for reporting and lessons learned.
On site and virtual event management: conference logistics (including audiovisual rental, signage, poster board rental, and material preparation), speaker reimbursements, onsite staffing and post-event reporting.
Provide input and recommendations for marketing plans and outreach activities, as created by the utility marketing team.
Develop and maintain conference exhibit booth inventory and track and update dissemination of conference materials.
Work closely with communications, customer engagement and other cybersecurity SMEs to coordinate and manage marketing and dissemination efforts through conference exhibit booths and websites.
BS/BA degree and 3-5 years of experience (or 2-3 with an MS/MA degree) in large cybersecurity, IT, or acquisition programs
4+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity
Strong understanding of committee models, structures, rules, etc.
Experience writing white papers, strategic planning documents, guidance documents or other project documentation related to cybersecurity.
Ability to translate technical concepts, policies, and procedures for targeted communications for a broad audience.
Knowledge of cybersecurity trends and impact of events at the national and international levels.
Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
High-level proficiency with Excel (worksheets, formulas, analytics) and PowerPoint is required.
U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position). Security clearance required.

Experience in the federal government sector
Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives
