We are expanding our services, and to support this growth, we are looking for a Social Media specialist to join our Policy Implementation and Programmes (PIP) line of business. PIP provides programme and network support, technical assistance, and mutual (peer-based) learning and training services to European Union (EU) institutions, particularly the European Commission Directorate-Generals and executive agencies. Our portfolio of projects covers a range of policy areas, including employment, labour market, social inclusion and protection, education and training, and migration and asylum.
About the role:
The role will involve supporting the digital communications (predominantly social media) for several large projects including the European Migration Network (EMN) and European Platform for Undeclared Work. The role will entail you to work with a wide range of internal teams and external clients to communicate the latest developments (news, publications, campaigns) to a wide variety of stakeholders across several social media platforms (primarily Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn).
Your main responsibilities will include:
Implement and execute social media strategy to increase awareness among specific audiences
Contribute and support upcoming campaigns ensuring unified messaging across several communication channels (e.g. social media, web, newsletter)
Simultaneous management of several social media accounts whereby you will lead on developing engaging content, tracking, and reporting key metrics, targeting new stakeholders, and informing the wider team on new trends.
Creating and sourcing relevant multimedia (photos, videos) to support social media outreach
Support internal project teams with the development of a social media calendar
Contribute to reports and provide copyediting support to project teams
What you'll need:
University degree or equivalent experience in communications/cross media or a related discipline. With minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in using leading social media platforms and management tools.
Previous experience with social media advertising tools
Track record of delivering online campaigns (social media)
Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent editing tools is a plus
Professionalism in community management (responding to direct messages, posts)
Strong organisational and coordination skills, including time management, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including interacting with multi-national and multi-disciplinary stakeholders
