ICF seeks a Health Communications Associate to support work at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This role will support strategic communications and media relations through detailed administrative work and by triaging and tracking client / program requests from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to support a team that is working on meaningful projects that ultimately help people live healthier lives. This role will work within a highly matrixed, creative, fast paced environment with seasoned communications and media relations professionals. The ideal candidate will be an excellent project manager with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to client requests, often juggling priorities and tight deadlines.
As a Health Communications Associate, you will:
Support all internal and client-facing communications meeting by calendaring and scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, ensuring meeting notes are accurately recorded and sent promptly to client, and other high-level administrative work.
Work collaboratively with the different ICF departments, federal staff team, subject matter experts, and other contractor teams.
Create and edit correspondence documents, reports, and presentations using Excel, PPT, Word, and other programs as assigned.
Provide a variety of administrative and logistical support to trans-NIH initiatives with multiple internal teams.
Compile monthly reports with technical, financial, and other project data.
Own administrative project tasks, with oversight from the client and senior team members.
Support implementation of communication strategies and tactics to reach and engage audiences to increase visibility of government data, resources, and materials.
As a Health Communications Associate, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, public relations, social sciences, or equivalent required.
2 years of experience within agency and/or marketing & communications environments, government experience preferred.
Proficient in Windows PC environment, including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent client service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multiple internal and external project teams.
Strong organizational and writing skills, time management skills, and superior attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to clients’ communications challenges/problems.
Strong writing skills to support the development of social media/digital content, as well as other communications.
Job Location(s): Within the current landscape, this role will be supported remotely. This role optionally may sit in Rockville, MD, when remote working guidelines are lifted.
