You will be responsible for developing strategy, bringing innovation and new offerings to the portfolio, nurturing client relationships, managing a diverse team, and ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction from both ICF and our business partners.

As a Client Director, you will:
Serve as the main point of contact for the client, cultivating the relationship and closely partnering with them to grow their portfolio and exceed their goals and expectations.
Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the client’s senior leadership team on important policy matters and regulatory affairs.
Guide strategy and implementation of energy efficiency programs and resources.
Provide oversight of various functions associated with a portfolio of programs including IT, marketing/outreach, customer care, admin/operations, and program implementation, ensuring collaboration and coordination.
Monitor client satisfaction, swiftly resolve any issues, and apply continuous improvement to existing approaches/processes.
Track overall portfolio metrics, budgets, performance, and subcontracts and provide guidance for improving on any of these components.
Recruit, onboard, manage, and mentor portfolio staff.
Report up to senior and executive level ICF staff on portfolio performance, client and business development opportunities, and overall strategy for regional growth.
As a Client Director, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Policy, Business, Sciences, Engineering or Energy Resources.
8+ years of experience designing and implementing successful energy efficiency programs.
5+ years of experience managing consulting projects for utilities, state energy offices, state/local governments, and regional non-profits.
Ability to establish influential partnerships at all levels.
Demonstrated experience with client relationship development.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; ability to work effectively with internal colleagues, teaming partners, and senior leadership.
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Ability to work from client’s office a few days per week, when available following the pandemic.
