Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to be responsible for bringing new clients into the business through cold outreach activities. They will also have a responsibility to build their client relationship network to build a pipeline of project opportunities and an understanding of upcoming rosters.

They will work closely with the Head of Business Development to; establish key verticals & target clients and developing identified key accounts.

The successful Business Development Manager will

• Have a demonstrable track record of identifying and closing new business

• Be highly organised and efficient with the ability to prioritise effectively

• Be a self-starter, determined, self-motivated individual

• Be comfortable in networking and building long lasting relationships

• Interact effectively and considerately with colleagues and clients to build effective working relationships

 • Be financially astute with great commercial awareness, ensuring their activity gains both long term client health and commercial success

• Create new business leads and drive growth of our services offering

• Conducting market research and identifying industry trends to maximise sales opportunities

• Utilising the CRM system to manage your forecast and pipeline efficiently

• Play a key role in building new business plans as well as cultivating relationships and opportunities within existing client accounts

 • Act as the main point of contact for your clients

• Develop account revenue and growth by identifying client business goals, increasing margins, cross-sell and upsell opportunities

Requirements

 • 3+ years’ experience in a relevant role

 • Demonstrable experience managing client relationships and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels

• Ability to plan, strategize and identify opportunities within existing client base to deliver client account growth

 • A breadth of knowledge across the comms and marketing sector

 • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate ideas and innovative solutions

• Strong commercial awareness - accurate and timely financial and commercial management

• The confidence to lead client meetings at all levels

• Experience to support new business acquisition by attending pitches, consultation/strategy sessions and lead client communications throughout the pitch process
