We are seeking an AWS Cloud Application Architect to serve as the lead subject matter expert for defining technical approaches and architectural requirements for large-scale application modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Bring a strong understanding of AWS Services to include API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and serverless technologies and understanding of ways to integrate them with web and mobile based solutions using DevSecOps Understanding.
- Serve as a AWS Architect, coordinating, and communicating with the Government and contractor to ensure resources deliver AWS best practices for web and mobile solutions.
- Implement AWS-based applications, Dev-SecOps, infrastructure as a code, and CI/CD processes to support large-scale application modernization efforts.
- Experience with networks, security groups, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components
- Conduct Technical Assessment for various DevSecOps tools to define the target architecture for agency DevSecOps processes.
- Develop architectural diagrams and other related artifacts, including alternative analyses.
Requirements:
5+ years experience as an AWS Architect utilizing various AWS services and strong understanding of AWS Services to include API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and serverless technologies
1+ years experience in Terraform, Python & Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance per Federal contract requirement
Preferred:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with Angular or NodeJS
Strong experience to build and deploy secured Docker containers
Strong background with AWS RDS and PostGreSQL
Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise and release processes
Extensive knowledge of Application Architecture, Network, and Release Process
Knowledge on DevSecOps, infrastructure as a code and CI/CD process to cloud adoption
Knowledge of the Agile methodologies, including test-driven development using MVP
Experience in all areas of the Software Development Lifecycle, Continuous Integration/Continuous Development, and Human-Centered Design principles and practices
