Awards Team Lead – Disaster Recovery Implementation

We are seeking an Awards Team Lead to oversee and manage operations of award coordination, including verification and calculation of duplicative benefits and evaluation of incentives. As Awards Team Lead, you will work closely with the other team Leads, the Program Manager, senior ICF staff, and subject matter experts; train and manage a team of Awards Specialists, and – act as a point of escalation for Awards Specialists - clearly communicate information regarding the program, duplication of benefit calculations, and incentive calculations to impacted residents regarding their options to help them make informed decisions.

The position requires, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage Awards Specialists and admin staff
  • Assigning cases to the Awards team
  • Maintaining staff schedules and timesheets
  • Provide program expertise at each Award consultation and signing to walk each applicant through the details of the Award.
  • Generate individualized grant agreement and other necessary supporting documents.
  • Coordinate and facilitate grant/loan signing meeting.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable Program policies, requirements, and procedures and review all cases within established program guidelines.
  • Assist with drafting and issuing updated policies and procedures, job aides, and/or operations management manuals to aid in implementing the program(s).
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate the operations of Specialists in the Project Management Office.
  • Help refine program procedures and processes for implementation.
  • Provide guidance and assessment of specialist staff, as needed.
  • Present technical information in key meetings.
  • Interact with senior staff from local, state, and federal government agencies, and other professional organizations, as needed.
  • Coordinate with Program Management for public outreach events and with case managers for off-site applicant meetings, as needed.
  • Advise senior leadership and management, as needed.
  • Analyze and confirm duplicative benefits (e.g., insurance, SBA Loans), offers to purchase, and outgoing letters and notifications to applicants, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required. 

Minimum Qualifications:                                       

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Knowledge of housing, intake, and case management services.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Familiar with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, google docs, SharePoint, etc.)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • College degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience as a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, or experience in mortgage and/or home financing, case management, program management, disaster recovery/emergency management, and/or implementing housing programs
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • State Licensed Notary

  • Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to handle multiple, changing priorities.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$56,742.00 - $96,461.00
