Aviation Project Manager - Middle East
ICF is looking for a dedicated project manager to support our growing on-site aviation consulting team. In this role you will be responsible for managing airline / airport / MRO / ground handling projects from initiation through completion. Requires coordinating project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. Ensures work plans meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability & schedule. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Uses specific knowledge about one or more technical areas to research, plan, communicate and achieve objectives through program/project team.
This position will be Fixed Term Contract on-site with our client in the Middle East on a flexible shift pattern. (example 3week on 1week off)
Tasks and Objectives
Leads a range of aviation consulting and implementation projects within the organization with budgets between $100,000 – 10,000,000 USD.
Establishes processes and leads/defines process efficiency measurements.
Manages budgets. forecasts and analyses costs.
Owns process for workflow and its continuous improvement.
Supports organizational leadership, identifies conflicting priorities and facilitates resolution.
Utilises the frameworks required for the given project for resourcing and workflow to support the delivery team.
Collaborates and drives leadership team on process, prioritization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Translates project management methodologies into simplified and lean processes that can be leveraged for small to midsized projects where formal Project Management is not required.
Presents and communicates to diverse audiences internally and towards the clients as well
Qualifications and Experience
Must be extremely detail-oriented
Must possess proven organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as well as collaboratively in support of other project/program managers
Strong computer knowledge including the MS Office Suite and collaboration tools.
Expert knowledge of multiple methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and Lean is a plus
Ability and willingness to select and learn new technology and applications for the organization.
8+ years in aviation in airline, or MRO, or airport environment preferred
5+ years project/program management experience essential
University degree or equivalent experience required
Must be flexible enough to work overtime when needed
Ability to travel and spend longer periods abroad is required due to the nature of the aviation industry and this particular role
