We’re currently hiring for an Associate Director, Technical Project Management in our Toronto Office.
What you’ll get to do:
Provide structure and support the overall vision for a collection of projects with multiple workstreams (e.g. web development, advertising, media, strategy, technology, social, PR, brand, etc.)
Oversee the project management of multiple projects at a time across multiple brands or clients by a team of PMs to ensure the overall health of the portfolio projects (financials, resources, risks, relationships).
Serve as “Lead” on client accounts and be accountable for the project management team’s organization, operational efficiencies and health within the assigned programs
Supervise one or more PMs and/or Senior PMs.
Interface with senior marketing, technical, and executive management within the client(s)to assure that the solution is understood and addresses the customer’s business requirements
Directly manage at least one of the projects in your portfolio. You will also ensure that the challenge and requirements are understood by the team and will participate in the solution developed by the team.
Deliver accurate financial management of the accounts/brands to which you are assigned and for delivering improved account margins.
Participate in the business development process and be a key member of the pre-sales team
Characteristics of projects assigned to Program Managers include: custom and undefined types of projects with global scope, high risk, large/complex projects and programs; third parties managed; client service is mostly execution in nature but works with Client Solutions to determine specific ways to contribute to growing the relationship.
What you’ll need to succeed:
8+ years of experience managing relevant projects in a consulting or agency environment
Advanced knowledge and experience with software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components, media and advertising projects, brand projects, PR and social projects, digital strategy projects preferably with Marketing Technology product suite
Strong knowledge of contract interpretation and negotiation, ability to develop solid and comprehensive SOWs. Ensures all SOWs for work within the program is consistent, comprehensive, accurate and protects the interests of the agency
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time
Must be able to simultaneously focus on big picture, details and driving results
Ability to solve complex problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
Collaborative with a sense of urgency and eagerness to learn
Demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role
Bachelor's or Master’s degree or commensurate experience preferred
PMP preferred; Experience working in an Agile environment required
