Are you ready to lead the internal communication efforts and act as a liaison to support the development and implementation of a group-wide marketing plan for ICF's most geographically dispersed business group? The Energy Environment and Infrastructure Group is a diverse operating group that partners with utilities, federal agencies, state and local governments, and commercial clients to help tackle their most pressing challenges, including climate adaptation and resiliency, electric vehicle readiness, environmental and regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency. In close collaboration with senior business leadership, you will develop and execute internal strategic communication campaigns from concept to completion. You will take critical information and translate it into simple messages and stories. You will showcase your passion for sharing information, connecting people, and enhancing the EEI community. Your superior writing and editing skills will be critical as you look for new ways to engage our broad employee spectrum. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least eight years of professional marketing communications experience who is looking to take the next step in building a long-term career with a global company. This position reports to the Vice President, Group Operations for EEI.
Establish a communications vision for the group in collaboration with senior leaders in the group and based on clear and defined communication objectives.
Provides thought leadership, to design new capabilities and offerings, related to internal promotions, social media, creative content, and outreach to the employee population.
Provides clear communication to stakeholders regarding EEI projects, internal initiatives, thought leadership, culture, and employees.
Demonstrates strong strategic communications skills, including change management communications, and organizational communications.
Measures the effectiveness of communications, through surveys, and other metrics; and monitor progress against goals.
Serves as key member on assigned strategic communications initiatives ensuring that deliverables are of the highest quality and completed on time.
Ensures the implementation and maintenance of an assigned communications project task(s) that support(s) EEI.
Maintains awareness of current techniques used within the strategic communications industry.
Recommends, and implements (or supports) communications strategies and approaches designed to achieve overall goals and objectives for EEI.
Works with senior group management and the corporate marketing/communications staff to align group and corporate communications, and prioritize marketing activities, where applicable.
Provides internal group coordination on tactical issues such as prioritizing conference/all hands attendance, assessing the effectiveness of webinar or campaign strategies, and supporting branding efforts.
Plan, prepare, produce, and participates in Group wide meetings.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, or related subject
8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing
Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, management, of large-scale communication campaigns for internal audiences
Ability to write in varied formats, from web and social media to print and video
Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, or related subject
Experience managing multiple communication campaigns from inception to completion with changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Track record producing effective communication, including documents and collateral
5+ years of experience in a large organization (1,000+ employees)
Management consulting experience
Superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills and personal interaction skills
Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a broad range of audiences
Self-motivated, strategic thinker and problem-solver
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Enthusiasm and energy around business growth and communications
Ability to effectively compose written content for varied communications tasks
