Energy Industry Sector Analyst
ICF is seeking an energy industry sector analyst to assist with coordinating government-industry teams focused on initiatives to better prepare for and respond to emerging threats to the energy sector, including the electricity, oil, and natural gas sub-sectors. Work includes providing programmatic support to integrated government–industry teams in research, fact finding, and analysis of energy sector policies and programs, and working with the teams to identify and meet agreed goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical writing and communications on behalf of the client, including drafting, editing, and reviewing documents related to government programs and policies affecting the energy sector, and developing presentations and briefings for policy audiences.
Coordinate activities between key stakeholders, including coordinating energy industry working groups and supporting the development of working group deliverables
Manage logistics for meetings, including taking meeting minutes, tracking milestones and priorities, and following up on action items
Support government clients at industry meetings and on calls with industry stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in energy policy, government, business, engineering, or related field
3+ years’ experience with at least 2 years in the energy sector
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
US Citizenship
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Master’s degree in energy policy, government, business, engineering, or related field
1+ years of supporting a Federal client, particularly the Department of Energy, FERC, or DHS
PMP (Project Management Certification)
Professional Skills:
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects or tasks
