Field Inspectors

ICF's Disaster Management division seeks Field Inspectors who will support FEMA Public Assistance (PA) and Hazard Mitigation projects in Oregon following the recent wildfire and straight-line wind events. As an Inspector you will be responsible for completing damage assessments of critical infrastructure and preparing inspection reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect damage to critical utility infrastructure including poles, primary wires, secondary wires, services, primary insulator, transformers, fuses, reclosers, regulators, substations, etc.

  • Identify all necessary repairs required for restoration

  • Develop cost information and estimates for repair /replacement of disaster-related damage

  • Gather and evaluate technical data for input into project worksheets (PWs) for FEMA-eligible damages

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant damage assessment experience for infrastructure projects

  • 2+ years of RSMEANS experience

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the critical infrastructure market, specifically the utility sector

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Construction, Construction Management, Project Development, Hazard Mitigation Measures, Engineering or Architecture

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal regulations, policies, and guidance within the FEMA Public Assistance Program

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
