US Virgin Island Disaster Environmental Review Opportunities (CDBG- MIT)

We are seeking professionals who will support government agencies in the US Virgin Island to implement projects that better protect the Island from future disasters.
As part of the growing Disaster Management Division, the position requires experience with the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
As such, these positions also requires you to maintain a complete understanding of all applicable program policies, requirements, and procedures within the established project guidelines; and work to possess knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for HUD funded programs & projects.
Position consist of the following:
Environmental Review Compliance Lead CDBG-MIT
Environmental Review Compliance Specialists CDBG-MIT
- Help the USVI manage federal grants to recover from disasters and carry out strategic and high-impact activities to mitigate disaster risks and reduce future losses.
- Document program compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and local environmental regulations
- Conduct fieldwork and prepare site-specific environmental documentation
Providing environmental Subject Matter Expertise for HUD-funded programs including but not limited to housing programs, buyouts and acquisitions, and infrastructure repair
Note: To be considered you must have experience in providing environmental review leadership for a grantee or subrecipient of HUD CDBG-DR funds ***
