The position will be in Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL, but could be virtual if the right candidate.
Inside Sales Representative
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Inside Sales Representative to identify and qualify leads for our sales team. This inside sales representative focuses on outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification. Inside Sales Representatives aren’t responsible for closing business, but rather on connecting with as many potential clients as possible, initially positioning ICF Next capabilities, and generating follow up conversations for our sales team. This person will send relevant content and resources that have been curated by our marketing and sales teams to potential clients to gauge interest. They then aim to contact every lead in an effort to understand client interests and/or needs. After successful initial outreach, the Inside Sales Rep will schedule next steps with our sales team. Inside Sales Representatives are evaluated on the number of qualified leads they move through our pipeline.
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will:
Meet regularly with our marketing team to learn about the latest content (e.g., research papers, blogs), webinars, and insights we have available to share with potential clients
Meet regularly with our sales team and conduct your own research to identify groups of potential clients and target contacts who may be interested in our content and solutions
Develop target call/email lists, create call/email/outreach strategizes, and create and deploy multi-touch email campaigns
Conduct a high volume of targeted outreach via cold calling, email, and social selling
Qualify leads based on business fit, problem to be solved, relevance of contact, etc.
Achieve or exceed monthly qualification goals
Provide sales team with detailed call notes to ensure each qualified opportunity is understood and next steps are clearly defined
Track all activities using our CRM tools
Maintain a thorough knowledge of our agency’s products/services
Ideally, you have:
3+ years of proven high achievement in lead generation in a B2B, solution-sales environment
A bachelor’s degree preferred
Marketing/advertising/or digital agency experience a major plus
An entrepreneurial spirit, must be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow
Friendly and fearless, not afraid to pick up the phone, start a conversation and ask questions
Ability to think creatively to open doors and unlock conversations with tact and persistence
Excellent listening skills
Organizational skills with a commitment to a systematic approach to sales success
A coachable attitude and openness to guidance designed to uplift and support the attainment of goals
A strong drive to attain and exceed goals and a resilient nature
Experience with CRMs system and other sales tools (Dynamics/Marketo/Introhive preferred)
Experience leveraging a sales engagement platform (Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, etc.)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships with potential prospects and clients
Good presentation skills
Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
