Oracle Database Professional
Incentive Technology Group (ITG) the newly acquired digital transformation and IT modernization division of ICF International is seeking a Oracle Database Administrator who has a strong background in Administration, SQL, and ETL and BI experience.
Develop efficient conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Support database development with multiple Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) databases, such as MySql, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, etc.
Address issues with minimal guidance. Ability to document and improve processes by establishing best practices and standards to support team initiatives. Strong forensic skills to assist with troubleshooting
Integrate and Migrate between heterogeneous RDBMS
Design and implement data transfer procedures
Work with relational database schema and data architecture design in an enterprise/distributed environment
Conduct performance tuning in various RDBMS; assist with schema design code review and SQL query tuning
Develop, publish, and maintain data repositories and database documentation (design documents, data dictionary, data flow, ERD, etc.)
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Work with commercial BI Platforms
Design and develop business requirements to technical requirements to build dashboards/reports to support business owner in making data-driven decisions
Establish business intelligence best practices, governance, and project-level processes to improve the service efficiency and standardization
Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Understand and apply relational database schema and data architecture design in an enterprise/distributed environment
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
Prepare a variety of technical documentation for all types of business situations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years database development and engineering experience, and working with Oracle RDBMS on large scale IT projects, preferably at the Federal level
Strong communicator (verbal and written). Able to communicate data architecture, define data models, and design integration interfaces using diagrams/documentation to keep the project/operations team informed
Experience developing with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) databases and working with packages, procedures, functions, triggers and materialized views
Good knowledge on the correct use of tools to assist in the creation of high-performance code, and identifying poorly performing code in various RDBMS
Experience with integration and migration between heterogenous RDBMS
Expertise in data modeling, process modeling, data exchange design and implementation, data integration design and implementation, metadata design and management
Demonstrated expertise in data administration, modeling and integration activities with data sources to support business intelligence initiatives
Proven ability to provide level of effort estimates to help size project tasks, assisting the project team with planning activities
Solid understanding of transactional and analytical / data warehousing design concepts
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Strong preference for working with various RDBMS such as MySql, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, etc.
Experience with designing efficient data transfer procedures (ETL/ELT)
Experience working with commercial BI Platforms (Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense, Amazon QuickSight)
Working experience with data development in Cloud environments; AWS, Azure, GCP
Understanding of how to build security in the SDLC for projects requiring BI deliverables (encryption concepts)
