Linux Systems Administrator
As a Linux Systems Administrator you will configure, integrate, and support internal network environments. The type of underlying components that support the infrastructure typically include Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
The Linux Systems Administrator performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations. Analyzes, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. May contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
Contribute to the design of existing and future platforms
Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the system and the infrastructure that supports it
Routinely interact with software developers and data teams
Provide input to develop performance/security management of the platform
6 or more years of experience working with systems administration on Linux, UNIX, ideally RHEL
6 or more years of experience and understanding of AWS including RDS MySQL, S3+Cloudfront,
6 or more years of experience with VMware
6 or more years of experience with basic networking
6 or more years of experience and knowledge with cloud technologies
DOD 8570 Complianct, or the ability to quickly obtain and maintain active security certifications: CEH, DFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER) and IAT II (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, or SSCP
BS or MS in IT
Certificates for Linux, VMWare, Apple
Familiarity with DoD/Army IT policies and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
