UI/UX Design Lead

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years (or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience) of hand-on experience in UI/UX design, software development, or related area
  • Ability to work with Product Owners, Users, SME’s, technologists, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, user needs, and other design inputs to create an application with a high degree of usability
  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing for the development of relationships with stakeholders in order to foster collaborative two-way communication of design ideas and requirements
  • Proficient in the use of web design tools such as Adobe XD, Visio, Sketch, or similar tools
  • Knowledge and ability to apply Section 508 compliance standards to design work, including familiarity with WCAG 2.1, or above, standards
  • Ability to develop design artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, user personas, journey maps, and product visions

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to translate design artifacts to code utilizing technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and others
  • Familiarity with Section 508 testing tools such as WAVE, Pa11y, Amp, Deque, and others
  • Section 508 Trusted Tester certification
  • Experience working in agile software development
  • SAFe Certification

  • Ambulate between several buildings
