Marketing + Communications Specialist (Transportation)

We’re currently hiring for a Marketing + Communications Specialist, Transportation. As the Communications Specialist will support the planning, development, and implementation of marketing strategies and communications activities to support our federal transportation clients. We help our clients communicate how their critical work is improving the safety, mobility, and performance of our nation’s transportation infrastructure. 

As a Communications Specialist, you will:

  • Work with our creative team to develop marketing materials including newsletters, fact sheets, customer stories, and web sites.
  • Plan and develop social and paid media assets.
  • Conduct research and support in developing strategic plans and presentations.
  • Support planning and executing events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain project trackers and documents for the project team.
  • Track and report on campaign metrics and budgets.
  • Manage multiple deliverables at once, with varying deadlines using Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools including Basecamp, Trello, Sharepoint, SmartSheets, etc.

 As a Communications Specialist, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree, required (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations, or advertising)
  • 4 or more years of professional marketing communications and client management experience
  • Transportation experience, required; Federal experience preferred
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of traditional and social media environments
  • Energetic, self-starter, and resourceful problem solver; can-do attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities

 Job Location(s): This individual will sit in our Fairfax, VA office.
