About the team:

The ICF International Consulting division within ICF’s Europe & Asia Group works for international aid agencies, such as the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO), EuropeAid and other financing organisations such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The division carries out international development programmes and projects that promote inclusive economic growth, prosperity and resilient urban development, alleviate poverty, and support clean energy, a sustainable environment and social needs. Our team in based in London, Brussels, Delhi and Beijing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support planning resources and coordinating activities on ongoing projects, and ensure compliance with client’s requirements
  • Support the monitoring of project implementation and timely submission of deliverables
  • Learn how to apply tools to forecast revenue and margins and to monitor project performance
  • Contribute to keep an up-to-date risk register for projects, and follow up to ensure identified mitigating strategies are put in place, including monthly updating of project tracker for relevant projects
  • Liaise with ICF Contracts team for contract related issue with main client and with subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with ICF rules and guidance (new DFID’s requirements and GDPR)
  • Maintain relationship with clients, sub-contractors and associates on ongoing projects
  • Liaise with financial controller and Finance team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collection

Basic Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a related discipline
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, in management of large and complex projects in the context of international development
  • Working experience on EuropeAid, DFID or other donor programs highly preferable
  • Project Management Certificate and/or Association to PM bodies preferable
  • Good commercial sense, with awareness of the business aspects of operating as a consultancy
  • Experience of working or volunteering in a developing country is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in one of the following fields would be an asset: urban development, resilience, climate change, governance, grant making
  • Excellent standards of written and spoken English
