Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

We’re currently hiring a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant. This individual may sit in our Chicago location or St. Louis 

As the SFMC Consultant, you will: 

  • Manage product life cycle from roadmap to delivery, accountable for platform profitability.  Act as SME on platform for clients and teams with the organization, lead KPI development, implementation of best practices.  Champion implementation of standards around data management, compliance and security.  

  • Optimize product performance and in turn maximize business value of the product.  Plan and lead production evolution, including upgrades and feature enhancements by working in collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors.  

  • Ensure clients are receiving the highest level of service, value and strategic thinking from the campaign.  Understanding the campaign brief, and translating it to functional deliverables, executing with a high level of accuracy & transparency.  

  • Collaborate and participate during sales cycles as key technical resource and SME on product to facilitate discovery sessions, assist in guiding purchase decision making, delivery strategic recommendations and analysis and defining customer engagement strategies.  Onboarding new clients and work closely with the team to set up product and configuration in the system to ensure timely launch   

  • Support and own customer issues from inception, to resolution including after hours or on call work as necessary.  Assist in investigation and resolution of all internal and external client, product/platform and network issues in a multi-vendor environment. Manage multiple cases involving a variety of technologies, protocols and equipment.  Responsible for consistent delivery of product services on a 24*7 basis within well-defined quality metrics including 99.99% uptime.  

  • Report on product performance and client utilization then roadmap to higher management  

  • Fluently communicate an understanding of product features and pricing model and ability to advise internal and external clients on it.  Support client & internal teams by providing technical support, advancing platform functionality, executing on-site training initiatives, and demonstrating new feature capabilities.  

As the SFMC Consultant, you will have: 

  • 3+ years in software product management and product marketing  

  • Expert understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or other enterprise marketing automation platforms (Eg. Adobe Campaign, Marketo, etc.)  

  • Ability to blueprint and architect and/or develop solutions with third party tools outside of Salesforce Marketing cloud, to build automated campaigns and journeys (eg. Integrating a cloud SQL server with Salesforce marketing cloud, in order to send a daily email) 

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target) or Adobe Campaign (NeoLane) is required  

  • Adept in marketing cloud best practices, deliverability, and journey builder  

  • Experience with mainstream email clients and message formats  

  • Experience with Email Deployment Platforms  

  • Experience with front end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)  

  • Capacity to work on multiple projects with overlapping timelines.  

  • A deep understanding of the digital /CRM market place 

  • Data manipulation, working in MS Access and MS Excel  

  • SQL server and MYSQL experience. Experience with relational databases.  

  • Google analytics experience a plus  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail  

  • Experience with CASL Compliance is a plus   

  • Bachelors Degree/Diploma or equivalent
