Deputy Program Manager

The Deputy Program Manager maintains oversite and the relationship with various USAF organizations specifically addressing various projects requiring programmatic oversight during and after seeking Cybersecurity services. This entails promptly fielding and responding to inquiries for various tasks providing cyber security services as well as providing accurate guidance and support to the entirety of the service alignment process and post alignment phases. Adhering to established SOPs, the Deputy Program Manager works with the customer to obtain information needed to ensure tasks are completed and tracked in a database record which will track the workflow process for the service alignment and supporting efforts. Once the agreement elements are completed, the Deputy Program Manager will work with the customer from initiation of operational services throughout the operational life of the subscriber, performing quality assurance. The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for performing data management for existing customers and providing support from a programmatic perspective. Additionally, the Deputy Program Manager will have a vital role to detect, recommend and follow through on change requests to improve and enhance oversight of the project.  As direct support to the AFIN Program, the Deputy Program Manager will provide CSSP for information network systems without existing coverage as well as transition AFIN systems with existing CSSP coverage into the AFIN CSSP construct. Additionally, the position will develop the requirements to build an organic AF cost-reimbursement-based CSSP to manage AFIN systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a sound understanding of cyber security service offerings
  • Field and respond to service inquiries
  • Actively manage projects from initial customer contact through operational fielding and sustainment
  • Perform data management in proprietary database
  • Quality Assurance – Customer support and feedback
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Coordinate with operational teams to facilitate technical and programmatic support as required for active customers
  • Awareness to identify if programmatically operations and support need modification based on changing requirements and update customer documentation accordingly
  • Support internal and external meetings and tele-conferences as requested

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8 years of DoD experience in a customer service role preferably within the IA or IT industry
  • Minimum 4 years of Air Force experience in a customer service role preferably with the IA or IT industry
  • DOD 8570 Compliance for IAM I (Security+)
  • SCI required
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience :

Air Force and DoD staff level organization
DoD CSSP or CNDSP environments
24 AF or AFCYBER operations
PMP Certification
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)Knowledge of Evaluator Scoring Metric (ESM) DOD Cybersecurity Service Provider

Professional Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Understanding of and/or experience with change control conceptsAdvanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Ability to multi-task in a dynamically changing environment and superior time management skills
