Job Description:

ICF is seeking a Technical Assistance Specialist to join a team that supports 45 federally-funded grantees responsible for collecting data on risk behaviors and clinical outcomes from individuals either at risk for contracting HIV or individuals already infected with HIV. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding promptly to technical assistance (TA) requests via the project’s hotline and web-based help desk
  • Monitoring the status of TA requests
  • Troubleshooting data management and technical system issues
  • Conducting quality control reviews of data products
  • Supporting web-site and application testing
  • Supporting development of technical training materials and conducting web-based and in-person trainings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, behavioral or social sciences
  • 2+ years experience providing technical assistance/customer service preferred
  • Familiarity or a background in data management including knowledge of SAS, SPSS or STATA is a plus. 
  • Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter.  Ability to work independently and in a team environment required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision are all a must for this position. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or other document editing software
  • Interest in survey research methodology and data collection preferred
