QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
  • Active DOD Clearance
  • Ability to work in team setting, as well as independently.
  • Self-starter: identify issues and create action plan for resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desired Certifications:

  • Security+ CE
  • CISM
  • CISSP
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the program is maintaining the appropriate operational security posture.
  • Function as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems.
  • Performs duties as ISSM.
  • Track, monitor, report, and control issues related to information security.
  • Ensure Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements are met.
  • Ensure reporting data and IT security records are current and maintained in the system of record.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate information security processes and controls.
  • Coordinate with management on issue management, remediation, and support related reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Program Managers, ISSOs, and configuration managers to maintain an effective risk assessment process.
  • Plan and schedule IS security inspections, tests, and reviews.
  • Implement an effective IS security education, training, and awareness program for personnel.
