As a Clean Transportation Analyst, you’ll work as part of a cohesive team supporting exciting projects related to alternative fuels, electric vehicles, and other technologies and strategies in clean transportation, focused on the Mid-Atlantic region. You’ll contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. You’ll have an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, gain exposure to interesting research- and data-based projects, and interact with experts and clients in the field, while also building content knowledge and consulting skills. Staff advance in our consulting practice into management roles.

What you’ll do…

  • Perform research and review literature
  • Gather, compile, analyze, verify, enter, and report data
  • Field and respond to general and technical inquiries from industry contacts, stakeholders, and the general public
  • Conduct phone and email outreach to organizations and individuals
  • Solve qualitative and quantitative problems
  • Conduct interviews and surveys
  • Draft and review materials for clients, including reports, utility regulatory filings, case studies, trainings, presentations, and other communication materials
  • Work as part of a cohesive team to prepare high-quality materials to support clients, pitching in where necessary
  • Complete tasks in a self-motivated environment and in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support client meetings in Maryland and, as needed, throughout the Mid-Atlantic region

What you’ll need...

  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.2  
  • Experience in consulting and/or the transportation, energy, or sustainability industries (including internships and applied coursework)
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel to meetings in Maryland on a regular (e.g., bi-weekly) basis

What we’d prefer…

  • Master’s degree related to environmental or other science, sustainability, transportation, or a related field or a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interest in/knowledge of alternative fuels, sustainable transportation, and other energy and environmental issues, especially federal, state, and regional programs
