Tasks to be performed:

  • Design, manage and implement DG ENV web projects
  • Assist on the definition and implementation of the architecture of the new Environment’s website
  • Coordinate and implement the transition of content to the new Environment platform based in Drupal 8
  • Support on web content inventory and ROT analysis
  • Follow up with DG COMM and others on the new Commission’s web platform based in Drupal 8 and the overall EC’s Digital Transformation programme
  • Organise and coordinate meetings with DG ENV policy units on creation of the new Environment website and validate web content
  • Ensure website’s compliance with the Information Providers Guide (IPG) and EC’s Web writing guidelines
  • Write and edit web content in English for the Environment website
  • Update current DG Environment's HTML website and create content on the new Drupal 8 platform

Knowledge and skills:

  • Experience in project management, specially web-digital related projects
  • Knowlegde on information architecture and user experience design
  • Good understanding of Commission’s digital communication environment (EC’s Digital Transformation Project)
  • Good writing skills, editorial capacities and ability to autonomously research content
  • Ability to translate difficult policy language into understandable content
  • Experience with web content management systems, specially Drupal
  • Knowledge on the Information Provider’s Guide (IPG) and the EC’s web writing guidelines
  • Experience on planning, organising and facilitating workshops is an asset
  • Good understanding of EU institutions and policies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Education and experience:

  • University level education
  • At least 3 years of professional experience within the type of work
  • Work experience gained in a multicultural environment
