ICF’s Early Education Services Line of Business seeks a Child Care State Systems Specialist to provide training and technical assistance to Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) grantees (states and territories) to assist with the implementing the CCDBG and improving the accessibility of high quality child care and the development of comprehensive early childhood systems. Includes working with Federal and state-level partners, such as the Office of Child Care, Head Start, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Initiatives, child welfare, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, State Departments of Education and state Early Learning Advisory Councils. This position is home based within Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska (Region VII) with 25% travel required to provide technical assistance in states identified as Region VII states.
Technical assistance (TA) is defined as both onsite and off-site activities, such as consultation, meeting/conference presentation and facilitation, support of peer-to-peer opportunities, information gathering, review of materials, participation in and leadership for work groups, strategic planning, and training design and provision. We seek a State Systems Specialist to work on a variety of efforts to support the implementation of the Child Care and Development Block Grant in Region VII.
