The Regulatory, Policy and Economics business at ICF supports primarily public-sector clients in the full range of economic and policy activities. We estimate costs and benefits, as well as the economic impact of regulations, policies, and programs. We also evaluate program effectiveness. We work with virtually all federal agencies; key clients include the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, Department of Labor, the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Interior, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as well as other federal, state and local agencies, and select non-profit and private-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day economic analytic activities of current short- and long-term projects for federal and state government clients who develop and implement policies and regulations affecting various areas including the environment, energy, transportation, homeland security, immigration, and other related agency work, including strategic thinking and thought leadership with the aim of promoting additional business.

Significantly contribute technical expertise to key projects, particularly on analyses of costs, benefits and economic impacts of policies and regulations.

Create written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal and external clients.

Lead and contribute to sales and bid capture efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in economics

5+ years of experience, ideally for a professional services firm, including economic analytic consulting services.

Experience managing large and complex engagements from both a technical and project management perspective.

Experience in business development activities preferred

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. 

Team player with the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem solving/analytical skills.

High level of attention to detail.

Demonstrated professionalism and customer service orientation.
