We seek a Health Insurance Strategist who can quickly establish her or himself as a trusted advisor, sell new business within Commercial Health Insurance markets and manage flawless delivery across a portfolio of consulting services. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of consulting and client experience. What you’ll get to do:

  • Lead a portfolio of strategy initiatives for healthcare clients.
  • Key areas of focus include corporate strategy, customer experience, and transformation.
  • Use your Health Insurance expertise, consulting acumen to lead business development for a Fortune 100 health insurer and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Work with Commercial Healthcare clients to develop Engagement strategies – B2B and B2C.  
  • Lead project development, implementation and evaluation for health care clients exceeding their expectations.
  • Work with Commercial Healthcare clients to develop Engagement strategies – B2B and B2C.
  • Lead project development, implementation and evaluation for health care clients exceeding their expectations.
  • Develop client relationships, think creatively and provide innovative solutions to clients’ communications challenges/problems.
  • Develop new lines of business within the field of Commercial Healthcare and help sell additional work to existing clients.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical execution to influence others.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership in the area of strategy and work collaboratively across ICF to leverage clients, capabilities, talent, and knowledge

What you’ll need for success:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Healthcare Insurance/ Healthcare Payer environment and experience working with health stakeholders such as plans, payers or providers
  • Familiarity with health care reform, Medicaid, Medicare and Exchange consumers  
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients to determine their consulting needs plus experience managing vendors and subcontractors
  • Experience working in a consulting firm.
  • MBA or master’s degree strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience required  10+ years of direct client experience, with proven success in managing large portfolios and delivering projects as well as developing new business.
  • Minimum of 15+ years’ work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Strategy, Management Consulting, Program Management, Competitive Analysis, Cross-functional Team Leadership, Project Management, Business Development, and Growth Strategies
  • Ability to travel nationally-approximately50%.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Firm grasp of developing and managing timelines and tracking projects to budget
  • Comfort level, flexibility and willingness to jump in to help team members at all levels, on all types of projects, to get the job done.
