Who we’re looking for:

You want to work at the intersection of left brain & right brain: logic & creativity. You consider yourself a data scientist who is well versed in collecting, organizing, and exploring data.  You are a strategist who employs acumen, ingenuity, and storytelling to anticipate and answer questions for internal and client partners.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Pull, clean, and manage large data sets and databases
  • Interface with many diverse data types & formats from a variety of sources
  • Perform basic statistics, standard reporting, and advanced analytics (segmentation, clustering, social monitoring, web analytics, multi-channel analysis, response attribution, optimization, regression analysis)
  • Leverage data to extract insights that will inform creative and drive the client’s business
  • Work independently and play an active role in growing our analytics practice within the agency
  • Serve as a mentor to more junior staff

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, business, economics or similar (graduate degree is a plus)
  • 7-10 years of experience building data science solutions
  • Hard skills:
    • Experience in building statistical models (specific experience with media mix models and/or multi-touch attribution is a plus)
    • Data science skills – such as the following:
      • Data wrangling
      • Feature creation/engineering
      • Data integration
    • Experience with SPSS, SAS, R, Stata or other statistical software
    • Experience programming in R or Python, and/or using Alteryx for data integration and transformation
    • Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools
    • Experience with SQL or SQL-based query tools a plus
    • Experience in accessing data via APIs a plus
    • Experience with social monitoring and web analytics a plus
    • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Soft skills:
    • Proactive, self-motivated
    • Strategic and holistic thinker
    • Desire to continually learn and adapt your skills
    • Able to communicate with non-technical audience, interest in working directly with clients
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work across disciplines (IT, media, digital, social) and with people of all levels
    • Ability to multitask: simultaneously manage multiple competing projects
    • Flexible and resilient, to handle the unpredictability of agency work
