Sr Compensation Analyst

In the Senior Compensation Analyst role, you will support and assist in the development, implementation, and administration of U.S. and global compensation programs for employees to ensure effectiveness and compliance. You will apply your knowledge and expertise in compensation practices supporting Talent Management, HR Business Partners and management in making compensation decisions. You will conduct salary analysis and make pay recommendations for job offers and provide guidance on job leveling and salary increase decisions. You will participate in salary surveys and utilize market data to enhance the organization’s ability to maintain a competitive edge by attracting and retaining highly qualified talent. In addition, you will lead the administration of the annual merit increase cycle for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of market practices and provide counsel to HR Business Partners, Talent Management, and management on compensation programs and issues affecting current and prospective employees consistent with corporate compensation philosophy and policies
  • Support Pricing Department by mapping and market pricing labor categories for proposals
  • Administer the annual salary planning process
  • Conduct and participate in compensation surveys
  • Conduct analysis of jobs and salaries in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and recommend salary ranges and/or adjustments
  • Assist in maintaining proper job classifications and job descriptions reflecting job duties, responsibilities, competencies, and qualifications as needed  
  • Collaborate with Executive Compensation, International HR, and HR Technology functions on special projects
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of pay practices, compensation policies and processes, including FLSA and EEO
  • Assist with projects, such as salary budget planning and developing salary structures
  • Assist with developing compensation-related training programs and materials
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for projects and tasks as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in a compensation role
  • Knowledge of compensation-related regulations, such as FLSA
  • Strong demonstrated proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word with advanced skills in Excel

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), GRP certification
  • Knowledge of compensation best practices
  • Knowledge of HR Systems, such as Workday
  • Experience with compensation market analysis, design software and benchmarking tools such as REWARD

  • Sensitivity to deadlines and ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities

  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices and a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and counsel to leaders and employees through a consultative approach while balancing customer and business objectives
  • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact across all levels of the organization, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information, through sound business ethics
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
