Vice President, Sales 

Location: United States

Who we’re looking for: 

ICF Olson is looking for a proven Vice President of Sales to grow its Digital Practice by building and growing a strong sales process, team, and culture.  This professional will work directly for the ICF Olson Digital business owner and will be closely tied to both this leader and the entire Digital leadership team on defining and executing the vision for the Digital business.  This professional will set the bar for sales performance and drive revenue by articulating a vision for our sales team and driving the team to achieve it. To that end, the Vice President of Sales is ultimately responsible for the overall direction, strength, profile, output, and excellence of the sales team. 

What you’ll get to do: 

  • Create a best-in-class sales process, including prospecting capabilities, lead generation and management, sales funneling and cycle, and metrics management 

  • Work with the Digital Leadership team to define our target markets, refine current solution offerings, suggest additional solution offerings, and set the direction on what projects our business should pursue and win 

  • Create a best-in-class sales team and promote a culture of excellence

  • Inspire the outside and inside sales team with a strong vision for their role and ability to execute against it 

  • Develop and uphold quality standards that support the vision 

  • Promote an atmosphere of stretching and growing skills 

  • Create an environment where team members are encouraged to take reasonable, informed risks 

  • Identify top talent and proactively develop and implement strategies to recruit, grow and retain them  

  • Ensure the sales team is properly organized, staffed, and developed to meet the needs of our business 

  • Develop deep relationships with our service and technology partners, systems integrators, and other channel partners 

  • Work closely with the engineering team (opportunity scoping, POC preparation, pilot design, technical qualification, implementation vision development) 

  • Work closely with our dedicated Digital marketing team on marketing campaigns, customer and partner events, and overall market messaging 

  • Work closely with the dedicated Digital partner alliance team. The Sales Leader will be responsible for setting our overall alliance partner strategy, and connecting our sales team with our partner sales teams 

  • Work closely with our Client Services team in both the hand-off for the delivery of sold projects, as well as during the execution of our work, where the Sales team will be helping to close additional opportunities.  The Client Service team will manage all delivery work, and the Sales team will be focused on new client acquisition 

  • Build bridges with other disciplines to exchange ideas, embrace a collaborative approach and solve our clients' business problems.  

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • 15+ years of experience of significant revenue growth through selling digital services, including content and commerce platform delivery, digital strategy, user experience and creative design to Global 2,000 organizations 

  • 5+ years of experience building and implementing best-in-class sales process, including prospecting capabilities, lead generation and management, sales funneling and cycle, metrics management, etc. 

  • 5+ years of experience building, managing, and leading outside and inside sales and business development teams in negotiating major contracts and closing seven figure new business deals 

  • Established relationships and experience selling with service and technology partners, systems integrators, and other channel partners 

  • Experience leading and winning new business pitches with polished presentation and verbal skills 

  • Existing network of senior-level client relationships  

  • Track record of target quota achievement 

  • Strong written and communication skills  

  • Bachelor's Degree required, BA/BS. 

  • Ability to travel up to 75% as needed based on prospective client needs
