ICF Will Serve as Key Implementer for Residential and Commercial Portfolios

ICF (NASDAQ:ICFI), a consulting and technology services provider to government and commercial clients around the world, has been selected by Georgia Power for a three-year contract to provide energy efficiency strategy and management services across the utility’s residential and commercial portfolios.

“Georgia Power is happy to continue and expand our relationship with ICF,” said Jeff Smith, energy efficiency strategy and implemention manager for Georgia Power. “We have met or exceeded our energy efficiency goals for the last six years and look forward to continued success with ICF in delivering energy efficiency offerings to our customers across the state of Georgia.”

Under the agreement, which was awarded in the fourth quarter, ICF will continue its role as key implementer of Georgia Power’s residential, commercial and small business energy efficiency programs, and greatly expand its support of the utility’s overall demand side management (DSM) portfolio. ICF maintains a strong local delivery presence in the Atlanta region, backed by an expansive network of energy experts nationwide.

ICF will now oversee and support energy efficiency programs for Georgia Power’s new homes, which will include behavioral, commercial midstream HVAC and residential HVAC services. This new work is in addition to ICF’s current portfolio for Georgia Power, which includes the utility’s home energy improvement, prescriptive and custom, lighting, refrigerator recycling and small business direct install programs.

“Since 2011, ICF has proudly supported Georgia Power’s energy efficiency programs and its commitment to providing a positive customer experience with innovative solutions for their customers,” said Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Georgia Power while continuing to bring groundbreaking opportunities to achieve even greater energy savings.”

ICF delivers more than 150 DSM programs for nearly 50 utilities across the U.S., including 15 large portfolios. The firm’s DSM programs have an unparalleled track record of success in planning, developing, administering and implementing award-winning energy efficiency programs and portfolios using proprietary tools and technologies such as the mobile Power Rebate App.
