Michael Nienberg has held management positions in the environmental and engineering consulting services industry for more than 30 years. He has led a wide variety of multitask, multiyear programs in widely diverse geographic environments, including a three-year biology mitigation program for a new transmission line. He also has a long history of serving energy clients throughout the western United States. Much of his experience has focused on the geothermal power market, where he conducted environmental assessments in nearly every geothermal anomaly in the West, including Hawaii.
Dr. Nienberg also brings unique capabilities in the oil and gas industry where he focused on the evaluation of environmental impacts associated with a number of oil and gas pipeline projects and offshore oil platforms along southern California's coastline. He brings additional expertise in the solar industry, most notably working on a solar pond evaluation project in the Salton Sea on behalf of a major Southern California utility and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Mr. Nienberg has a Dr.P.H. and an M.P.H. in Environmental Management and Planning from the University of California–Los Angeles, and a B.S. in Biology from Boston College.
