Fern Greenwell joined ICF in 2016 and has more than 20 years of international experience in two main areas: 1) the design, collection and analysis of demographic and health statistics; and 2) the assessment of national routine health information systems and civil registration and vital statistics systems.
In her role as Senior Technical Specialist in Strategic Health Information, her responsibilities span from facilitating workshops that address national technical specialists in government agencies; to analyzing survey, census, and administrative data and producing visualizations; to advising national and international stakeholders on implementing international standards.
Throughout her career, Ms Greenwell has worked for, or collaborated with, global partners and programs including WHO, UNICEF, Global Fund, DHS Program, European Commission, USAID, World Bank, and others. She is fluent in French and has good working knowledge of Spanish and Russian.
Ms Greenwell has a PhD in Demography from University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
